Welcome to McCrone Research Institute
McCrone Research Institute is a not-for-profit educational and scientific research organization located in Chicago. Active since 1952 and founded by Dr. Walter C. McCrone in 1960, it is dedicated to teaching and research in applied microscopy. The institute offers a multitude of microscopy courses, performs scientific research, publishes books and a scientific journal, and hosts an annual conference where microscopists present their research in all areas of microscopy and microanalysis.
